Here’s how my morning went yesterday. My alarm went off, I fell back to sleep. When Shawn’s alarm goes off a half hour later, I wake up again, and he sees me still in bed and asks me “did your alarm go off?” To which I replied that it had, but that I’d fallen back asleep. While I was in the shower, I remembered part of my dream from the night before that I thought was weird. So after my shower, I tell Shawn about my weird dream (he seems to have weird dreams all the times these days), and so he proceeds to start telling me about one of the weird dreams he’d just had.
Me: “Hey wait, did you just have this dream just before waking up?”
Shawn: “Yeah, I think so.”
Me: “And you didn’t hear my alarm go off?”
Shawn: “Nope.”

Shawn was describing his dream as being in the first part of Ghostbusters– the ghost in the library, a symmetrical book stacking, yelling “GET HER!”, a the ghost then flying around the chandelier a la slimer. Shawn could tell you in more detail.
My alarm this morning? What you heard upon reading this blog– in other words, the first 10 seconds that you hear in the movie “Ghostbusters”. Amazing how Shawn’s brain heard that short clip from the movie and immediately created a dream around information related to that sound.
This morning the same music woke me up. I asked Shawn if he had any Ghostbuster dreams, to which he replied that no, he had this really weird dream where this lady at work was totally smashed (drunk) and that at one point his arms and legs were suddenly chopped off, and that while his arms didn’t hurt much, his legs were in excruciating pain. I guess they got sewed back on quickly… I think Shawn ought to do a dream journal. Every day a new weird dream.

Oh. My. Word. That second picture is so disturbing! LOL! I clicked over from Google Reader (which doesn’t show the images in your post) and I’m hit with that… Talk about scary! ๐
That’s definitely intentional. If there’s sound that goes with a post you won’t hear that in reader either, so I choose to have my RSS feed only broadcast and excerpt ๐ Kinda forces people to view the post in context of the blog if they’re interested in reading it at all.
so um that’s really what you wake up to in the morning? Creepy! I was expecting a certain song from romeo and juliet ballet but I guess ghostbusters works too. ๐
Ooooh…. Maybe I’ll wake up to that tomorrow! Wonder what kind of funky dreams that would cause…
Dang, those are some pretty intense dreams …. I hardly ever remember my dreams. Maybe it’s because they’re lame and boring. If I had dreams that interesting they’d be worth remembering!
