For anyone interested, I have started a new blog that exists purely for art / design / photography (a visual art sandbox, I call it). I derived this post from one I published there as part of a weekly creative challenge. Hey– some content here is better than no new content, right? Sadly I wrote a couple posts in April that are still sitting in the “drafts” queue. Perhaps I’ll publish them sometime in the future. They’re titled “The Good Samaritan” and “On Gratitude”.
I’ll continue to post images and write on this blog as well as I always have– from the spiritual to the philosophical to the completely mundane and inane 😉
This week’s Photography Friday entry: The Coast.
I took this back in 2008 when I was rocking the 40D + 10-22mm. Taken at the beach in Carlsbad, California while joining the Knight family on their yearly beach camping trip (which was a total blast. I’d love to do it again).
Anyhow, I dug this photo up when putting the finishing touches on my BFA project last month. The rays of light breaking through clouds was a motif I used a few times in the project, so this served as an image for a poster at the show.
Next week’s challenge: Symbols.
