Man. I can’t believe it’s september already. Where did summer go so fast? On the positive side for fall:
– trees changing color
– weather cooling down
– football (NFL kicks off regular season today)
– Halloween
I’m sure there’s other stuff but those are the main points, I’d think. I’m already enjoying football this year– nothing beats kicking back and watching a football game.
Halloween– good excuse to eat too much candy and watch scary movies or read scary stories.
I’ve added a counter just out of curiosity… just to see how many lurkers there really are at a site such as this. Of course, I’m sure half the reason people don’t comment is because I post a weeks worth of back-dated posts at once… it’s just not as interesting when it’s old, hehe. Oh, the counter is stat-padding-proof. I can’t jack up the numbers by hitting reload, or even visiting another site and then coming back. Interesting, eh?
Man do I need to get up the motivation to beef this site up and get all my old sloanie.com archives up and running, as well as get some other projects off the ground. Cross your fingers. Latest word is that due to manufacturing issues with Apple my work rig is still another 10-14 days away. I’ve come to expect the worst, so no biggie… but it will rule when it arrives, even if I only have a little bit of RAM for the short-term. The iPod Mini will become my way of carrying web site stuff between work and home, yay!

by the way, Joel– why is summer so long? Is it the heat and humidity or the crap you’re putting up with at work? Or both?
I’ll take all of the above good sir. It seems to be cooling down finally though so hopefully things get more endurable. Is that a word? I like the way it looks if it’s not.
Roger that good buddy. Summer is indeed rough there, not so endurable like. Even if it’s not a word, it’s the year 2004 and it’s football season again– you can make up any word you want, like cruncheration and self-tackelization, not to mention trickeration. So as far as I’m concerned the fall should endurablizationablate the weather.
